Dear Members,

This is to bring to your notice that the CPE Committee of ICAI has advised all branches not to hold any CPE Seminars from 1st January 2026 to 5th February 2026.

To make up for this period, our branch, for the benefit of members, will endeavor to organize more seminars in the intervening months. We begin with a seminar on Tuesday, 11th November, offering five CPE hours on GST.

Due to the rush of Income Tax Return filings, many of us may not have had the opportunity to understand the intricacies of the major overhaul in GST, commonly referred to as GST 2.0.

We are privileged to have two eminent speakers with us:

• CA. Vishal Poddar, Faculty (for GST Officers) at NACIN, and Trainer & Consultant to 12 State Governments, who will take us through the reforms under GST 2.0.

• CA. Arun Chhajer, currently employed with GSTN and co-author of the book “Analysis of GST Returns” (with the Joint Secretary, GST Council), who will speak on the procedural aspects of accurate filing of GSTR-9.

The seminar will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with lunch in between. Members are encouraged to make the best use of this opportunity to gain both knowledge and CPE hours. The Seminar Fees is Rs 400 plus GST.

I also take this opportunity to thank our senior member CA. Rajesh Gupta, who has very graciously gifted a Table Tennis Table to the branch. Members are welcome to enjoy a game of table tennis whenever they visit the branch.
